Pansy Parkinson wasn't known as the Whore of Slytherin for no
reason. It was a perfectly accurate description, because a whore was
exactly what she was, and she made no excuses or apologies for
it. It had gotten her through five years in Slytherin despite the fact
that she didn't give a damn about blood purity and the idea of
becoming a Death Eater terrified her.
When she realized that Harry Potter had a chance to defeat the Dark Lord, she knew she had to do whatever it took to help him, because the Dark Lord's defeat was the only chance she had for freedom.
But after the death of his godfather, Harry was teetering on the edge, and she feared he would not survive the summer. Well, she could fix that.
After all... they didn't call her the Whore of Slytherin for no reason.
